Wi-Fi Technology Innovation
This one day course provides a fundamental understanding
of how Wi-Fi technology works, why its impact on the networking
industry is so significant, how its capabilities are evolving, how
Wi-Fi relates to other wireless technologies such as WiMAX and
cellular, how its capabilities will evolve and the role the technology
will play in the future. The course emphasizes latest developments in
Wi-Fi, such as voice support, convergence approaches, the IEEE 802.11n
standard, and municipal/metro Wi-Fi deployments. This course has been
designed for people developing products and services that leverage
Wi-Fi, as well as people considering the use or expanded use of Wi-Fi
technologies in their own organizations. The course is regularly taught
at Portland State University. Click here for a course
